*poke* BOO!
here's little abstracts from my msn conversation with Priya:HER! - ya ur noisy blog
---
HER! - i know its yelling like siau
---
HER! - in fact it kinda annoyed me n then i was like what the hell is tammy thinking
HER! - now i know what u have been thinking
tam` - hahahaa
tam` - ya it's there to annoy people
HER! - soon after it will start annoying u n then u will get it removed
---
i still think it is blardy hilarious.
imagine this:
one of my very nice lovely readers
is at a coffee place
laptop on the table
and well, decides to visit my blog
to kpo about my life.
and Vivaldi starts blasting through the speakers.
everybody turns to stare.
poor reader turns red and
either pretends to appreciate Vivaldi
or trying frantically to turn off the volume.
[i think the latter is funnier tho.]
but i suppose the more common scenario would be a surprised, irritated, or annoyed look on my readers' faces and perhaps still trying frantically to lower the volume.
and that...
i find darn hilarious.
farni wat... no?
goodness... what's wrong with me!
must be my still uncompleted essay.

yadda yadda
so are you guys irritated by that Vivaldi piece yet? =pi know i definitely am because i'm finding other ways to get linked to my links just to avoid visiting my own blog.

i ran away from home leaving my responsibilities there.
it was only studying that i had to do.
felt good actually to not have to worry or to bother about
anything and everything.
no obligations even.
not obliged to attend any event,
answer or return any phone calls,
make unneccessary conversations,
pretend to be nice,
or to put a fake smile on my face.
i make decisions for myself.
i do as i please.
i am not bounded by a social fence.
but recently, responsibilities have been weighing me down.
my dream event was stuck in my head during the study break for the mid-year exams. i tried to ignore it but i could not get myself to go back to studying if i hadn't done anything about it. i sent out some messages and formed my committee. now, it's on it's way to happening in real life. just a few more months.
i am going to make it work out no matter what. my responsibility.
today, i have officially been assigned the task of taking minutes.
apart from answering phone calls, running errands, and dealing with you-know-who's lame jokes and horrible singing in the car (which i have unofficially been doing anyway).
amongst other things of course.
i suppose i could deal with it. yet another responsibility.
don't get me wrong. i am not complaining.
i know very well what i have gotten myself into
and i have accepted these responsibilities.
but sometimes. sometimes...
the thought of leaving everything and running away just haunts you
when the little devil on the left have outspoken the little angel on the right.
sometimes. just sometimes...
i need to let it all out
i need a shoulder to cry on
and an arm around mine for comfort.
sometimes. sometimes...
i do feel lonely and empty
despite having friends around me.
faking a smile. again.
perhaps i need another day to myself.
all to myself.
i'll pamper myself with shopping and pizza.
again.
set!
a 1500 word essay due monday morning
and the current wordcount on my word.doc...
Zero.
this is the basis of my very weird mood.
and hence a very yadda yadda blogpost.
so now it's back to birds
and the benefits of their dispersal.
on a seperate topic:
do you know that some birds abandon their nest and eggs
just to go f*ck some other bird?
i wonder if it's only the city birds that have adapted such behaviour due to them having observed such behaviour in homo sapiens.
from stories of unfaithful husbands, i now move to unfaithful birds!
note to self:
breaking down is Not an option.
it is Not an available path.
i will Not let myself go again.

la primavera

the first signs of Spring
pretty flowers bloom on bare trees
colours sprouting about everywhere
chilly days are turning warm
white mountain tops turn green
sun rises earlier
and sets a wee bit later
the birds are back from vacation
singing songs of joy
(it Is mating season after all)
people...
people fall in love all over again. =)

Take me home
i wanna go home.
i miss mummy and papa
and my annoying brother too.
i wanna be home.
i want papa's cooking
and i want to fall asleep on mummy's lap.
i need to go home.
"I hear her voice,
In the morning hours
She calls me,
The radio reminds me
Of my home far away,
And dreamin' down the road
I get a feelin'
That I should have been
Home yesterday, yesterday.
Country roads,
Take me home,
To the place I belong;
West Virginia,
Mountain momma,
Take me home,Country roads.
Take me home, Country roads...
Take me home, Country roads..."

touch of Red and White

on the Saturday just passed, we brought home to the ballroom of one of the best hotels in Hobart and celebrated in style. dressed in the our traditional costumes, we set our culture on parade at Singapore Night 2007. the event was awesome, the dinner was awesomer and the desserts were awesomest. the night started off with the singing of our National Anthem and that made us go all soft inside but yet standing proud. our home was displayed to all in the form of performances and video clips of our national day songs for this year. the dinner included world class Hokkien Mee with Sambal included, Tandoori Chicken and Ayam Masak Merah, complete with achar, papadum and asian condiments. dinner was to die for and it isn't because i'm deprived of Singaporean food because thanks to my Big Brother Chef, i am not. i have home-cooked nasi lemak, chicken rice, mee soto, mee siam and all that for dinner everyday. but no asian food in Tassy, home-cooked or not, can beat the cuisine served that night. Thanks to the Singaporean chef at Wrest Point. it's a night not to be forgotten.
the 9th of August is not just the birthday of my island home but also the birthday of my late grandmother.
it's a tradition for the family to get together on this day to watch the parade together and also for an excuse to stuff ourselves silly. i've missed the gatherings before but only because i was involved in the parade. i never like being left out of family gatherings. this year, i can't make it either but i was still there... in a way. i met my parents, brother, aunts, uncles, cousins and dogs all over msn. with the aid of the webcam and the internet, i managed to be home. my speakers were blasting with the voices and laughter of all back home with the narration and songs of the National Day Parade in the background. it made me a little homesick but it was all worth it.
i fulfilled my patriotic duties by donning my red-n-white adidas sweater, catching the NDP live online (the last part of it at least) and singing along to the national day songs in the privacy of my room. So there you go... my National Day in Tassy.
and where is home?
SINGAPORE LAH!
