ticket home - checked!

early one morning before the cloud moves overhead and the storm starts, in the little island near Antartica but is part of Aussie and home to the threatened species that is suffering from a facial tumour disease and commonly known as the Tasmanian Devil, there lived three Singapore-crazy Singaporeans who were waiting in front of their computers, logged on to the internet and waited for the clock to strike 9 because that's when their fate will be decided and they will be informed in the first instance so that once it was out, they left, hopped into the little red car, and drove right down to the city, weaving through heavy traffic that is caused by the road closures due to the fire that burnt down the biggest departmental store in the already shopping-pathetic State, and beating others to vacant parking lots, just so they could skip-jump-hop-run to the very wonderful office of Qantas travels, which they very delightedly enter brimming with excitement and a little bit of cuckooness, in order to sit the grey plastic chairs at the counters, grin at the staff with all delight that could not be suppressed or contained, and very gladly announcing their wishes to change their flight dates, with each returning home as early as the day after their last paper, and once the changes were made, the three crazy Singaporeans left the Qantas office, holding on tight to their tickets with the new and earlier departure dates, with smiles wider than when they entered the office.

I'M COMING HOME!!!!!!!

the above happened on 28th September 2007 and it should be apparent to you that the excitement has not died down. in fact, you know what, these days when i am bored and doing nothing worthwhile, instead of reading a novel or surfing the net, i find myself packing! i have already packed a couple of shelves of my wardrobe. winter clothes in the storeroom-luggage and the dressy ones in my bring-home luggage because i realised that i don't have much of an opportunity to wear them here anyway. now i just need to get boxes to pack all the other things like books, cooking utensils and miscellaneous items.

so i was supposed to be home on 16th November but since i will be finishing my exams on 8th November, i will now be home a whole week earlier than expected, on 9th November!
